Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the services provided by Parsew (“we”, “us”, or “our”), including the Parsew Extract API and Parsew Brands API (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including API keys (secret keys prefixed sr_ and publishable keys prefixed pk_). You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may not share secret API keys (sr_ tokens) or allow others to access your account without authorization. Publishable keys (pk_ tokens) may be embedded in client-side code as intended.

Permitted Use

You may use the Services for lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Services to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Scrape or extract data from websites in violation of their terms of service or applicable law
• Circumvent any technical measures we implement to enforce usage limits
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Services without our written consent
• Use the Services to collect personal data in violation of applicable privacy laws
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems

API Usage and Rate Limits

Your use of the Services is subject to the usage limits of your plan. Usage is measured in credits (for Parsew Extract) or requests (for Parsew Brands) as described on our pricing page. If you exceed your plan limits, requests may be throttled or rejected until the next billing cycle.

We reserve the right to impose reasonable rate limits to maintain service quality for all users.

Intellectual Property

Our IP

The Services, including all associated software, APIs, documentation, and branding, are owned by Parsew and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets beyond what is necessary to use the Services.

Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you submit to or extract through the Services. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Services.

Extracted Content

You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of content obtained through the Services complies with applicable laws, third-party terms of service, and intellectual property rights. We do not claim ownership of content you extract.

Payment and Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly stated in these Terms.

We may change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. If you do not agree with a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new pricing takes effect.

Failed payments may result in suspension of your account. We will attempt to notify you before suspending access.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability and will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parsew shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Services
• Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any third-party content accessed through the Services
• Any interruption or cessation of the Services

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Parsew harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the Services or other users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Services. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
