Privacy Policy
Effective April 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Parsew (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our services, including the Parsew Extract API and Parsew Brands API (collectively, the “Services”).
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and payment information. Payment processing is handled by Stripe — we do not store your full credit card details.
Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you use the Services, including:
- API request logs (endpoints called, response codes, timestamps)
- Credit and request consumption
- IP addresses and user agent strings
- Error and performance data
API Keys
We generate and store API keys (secret keys prefixed sr_ and publishable keys prefixed pk_) associated with your account. Secret key values are hashed after creation and cannot be retrieved — only verified.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services
- Process billing and manage your subscription
- Monitor usage for rate limiting and abuse prevention
- Send transactional communications (billing receipts, security alerts, service updates)
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train machine learning models.
Data Processing
Content You Extract
When you use Parsew Extract, we process web pages and content on your behalf to fulfill API requests. We do not retain extracted content beyond what is necessary to complete the request. Cached responses may be stored temporarily to improve performance.
Parsew Brands
Parsew Brands serves company logos from our edge network. We log requests for usage tracking and abuse prevention but do not track end users who view logos embedded on your site.
Data Sharing
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: We use third-party services to operate our platform, including Stripe (payments), Railway (infrastructure), and Cloudflare (edge network and security). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental request.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Hashed storage of secret API keys
- Access controls and audit logging
- Regular security assessments
No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we retain data for up to 90 days to handle disputes or legal obligations, after which it is permanently deleted.
Usage logs are retained for 12 months for operational purposes and then anonymized or deleted.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to certain processing activities
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@parsew.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
Our marketing site uses minimal cookies for essential functionality. We use a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies for tracking. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
The API and Brands services do not set cookies.
International Transfers
Our infrastructure spans multiple regions. Your data may be processed in the European Union, the United States, or other regions where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers, including standard contractual clauses where required.
Children
The Services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Services. The “Effective” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
